I have fallen into the sacred well of my Library today- pulling out all the first books about “the Divine Feminine” – as I am inspired to share for the month of October from my life & resources.
This led to rearranging some space on a table
And peeking through a few of these gems.

I think my awakening and interest in the Divine Feminine began with my participation with Sufi Dancing and the songs for the sacred phrases in World Religions-in the mid- 70’s. My introduction in the early 80’s to the female dieties of Tibetan Buddhism also inspired my interest. The art was so rich and complex.

Tara and Quan Yin came in about the same time.

Pulled out my faves and counted to fifty pretty quickly.

In the days ahead through the month of October, and beginning at this Full Moon, I want to share from these resources and from my own experiences of my discovery of Her.

Why? You may wonder. For me, She has been patiently waiting to RETURN.

An update on this Fall retreat, “Wild As You Want”.

What a new place we are in since early March, here in Indiana. The world is not the same for most of us. We are all in a place of adjustments and re-adjustments, as we individually choose how to isolate, protect, respond to a virus that has changed everything.

Here in our Community we see the larger picture reflected. Each person has to decide how to isolate and how much to connect with a situation we know little really about. Here on our land, we have been able to see and even play a bit together (at, of course, safe distances and no touching / hugging). The wide open space of field and forest paths gives us plenty of room to have fresh air and connection.

I have been spending much time sending prayers of healing and Compassion out for those less fortunate. Sending prayers for both Peace and righteous expression of anger toward the systemic oppression and violence toward those who are affected as groups and individuals. There are changes underway.

It was a difficult decision, but it feels right to postpone my plans for a Autumn Gathering weekend Retreat this September 2020. I had to wrestle in my mind whether it was an avoidance for me of stepping out and bravely going into my own wildness~ but I am clear now, that this is not the time.

I am uplifted watching our local women’s circle, Within Sight, becoming larger and even more “alive”, as we all now ZOOM and connect in technological ways to keep the connections and weaving alive. We are on FaceBook and are now meeting on Full & New Moon days.

Hoping you are well and able to feel the love of family and friends.

May all beings be happy.

I found Tree Sisters through Mary Thompson Reynold’s work with Wild Soul Women in 2015. She was offering a 5 week workshop based on her book, Reclaiming the Wild Soul: How Earth’s Landscapes Restore Us to Wholeness.

I LOVED the experiences of listening to poetry, inquiring in my own life about how the different spaces of deserts, mountains, oceans, rivers, and ponds & streams, forests and grasslands had impacted me. I was inspired by letting the landscape take me into a deep creative space.

The host of this journey was TreeSisters, and this was the beginning of my devotion to this nature based feminine leadership charity that is now planting over 8 million trees a year in endangered rainforest areas all over the world.

I am a HeartWood volunteer now, and myself have planted thousands of trees. We have moved a lot of our Groups and connections off of faceBook into a place called the NEST in a portal named Mighty Networks. Or website is finally up and running and there is SO MUCH activity going on~ I invite you to check out this link.
